I think this song would work well as a video, as the lyrics have a theme, but it's not exceptionally prominent or constantly reinforced, so this would allow us scope to create narrative fuzz and do the video as an amplification rather than an illustration. I also think that it's upbeat but medium tempo will allow us more freedom in terms of cutting speed and whether our narrative is action-packed and fast or more chilled.
Some things I think we could include in the video:
- Sunny or rainy day in a park.
- Narrative-focused, with performance either included or integrated into the narrative.
- Colours changing (possibly in time to the beat) on the characters and background - similarly to the effects seen in the video for 'Walking The Dog' by fun.
- Multiple singers throughout the video.
- Lots of 'meat' shots of the singer(s).
I think that the colour changing would be a good effect to include to vary the feeling of the video overall, and it is not a particularly difficult thing to achieve.
